See What Clubs are Saying

Dan Brown – Albertson SC G13 Red (GU11) – 1 Eastern
“This past season went well – we had to get use to the physicality playing up and lost games due to the physical play. We played and kept possession well. Had the opportunity to play multiple formations and use different tactics through out the season. This upcoming spring we’re expecting a bit of the same. Will continue to try and deal with the physical aspect of the game. Will let the ball do the work and aim to be a more complete team on and off the ball. Our aspirations are to play and win the division similar to our 2012s last season playing up against 2011s.”

Matt Sloan – Long Island SC Boys Academy 2012 (BU11) – 1 Eastern
“This past fall the boys did very well in this fall playing against top teams and playing 9 v 9. It’s always a transition going from 7 v 7 to 9 v 9 and the boys learned a lot and will continue to build on what they’ve learned and continue to develop. The team is looking forward to playing each week and playing outside again. This group of boys loves playing and competing and have been looking forward to it all winter. The aspirations for the team moving forward are to continue to learn and develop. Whether it is building on previous ideas or learning new ones, the team wants to keep improving and learning.”

Matt Dickson – Dix Hills EST Angel City G2012 (GU11) – 1 Eastern
“Dix Hills EST Angel City had a great fall season in EDP Southeast 2. We played some very strong teams and had close, exciting games ultimately going 7-2-1 on the season and being promoted to EDP Eastern 1. The team is looking forward playing against the Division 1 talent this season. With Angel City playing Division 1 in Fall and Spring of U10 and then being relegated to Division 2 for Fall of U11 we are very excited to be back to Division 1. According to Soccer Rankings four of the top 10 teams in NYS are in this division and it should be an excellent test for our girls. It’s exciting to be in a division where you can literally win every game or lose every game, you can’t ask for a better competitive landscape than that and that is what EDP has created. As a town club Dix Hills Soccer Club is on the USYS pathway. Our goal is to continue to play at the top level of EDP and hopefully play in North Atlantic Premier I managed by EDP for our Fall U13 season. From there our goal as a club is to qualify for National PRO League for the U14 season. The competition that our team has been exposed to by playing in EDP at the early youth development ages has prepared us to compete against the top teams in the country.”

Tom Claro – Auburndale SC Blast 12 (BU11) – CYL 1 Eastern
“The team finished top of the table this Fall in a very tough Div1. We are looking forward to being back outdoors and excited to start the season and our Cup Matches. Our goal is to continue to play our brand of soccer and defend both our league titles as well as our Cup Championship from 2022.”

Featured Team FC Somers Lady Hammers (U15 Girls)

Ranked #2 in the Nation, the Lady Hammers have booked another trip to USYS Nationals after going 4-1-2 in National League P.R.O. Last season, they fell just short of making it to the knock out rounds at Nationals when they went 1-1-1. Best of luck to the Lady Hammers this Spring as they prepare for Nationals this July!

Teams Promoted into the North Atlantic Conference

Congratulations to these 13U-14U teams who were promoted into the USYS National League North Atlantic Conference for the Spring 2023 Season.
